TVCom was established in 2004 as a consulting and management company. Transformation from agency that was running under the same name from 1996 has provided better conditions for its development and better market positioning.
TVCom provide its clients with high-quality market research services, support in business planning and processes, customer care, support to events and presentations planning, as well as public relations services. There are three divisions within the company: Contact Center, Media Center and Center for Development of Business Software Solutions.
Business scenario
TVCom conducts telemarketing campaigns on behalf of its clients. They use an internally developed application which uses a relational MS Access database. The clients give TVCom contact data in various formats (CSV, Excel, XML) and expect to have up to date information after the campaign is over.
As business grew larger manual data processing took too much time. There was a need for a tool which would consolidate the data and import it into the relational database. This tool also needed to export updated data in a customizable format after the campaign.
Another problem which presented itself was the loss of additional contact data which were received from the clients but which could not fit into the existing database.
